Class Description: Our Cargo Tank Training workshop is a 3-day training class designed as an initial AND refresher course for your qualified registered inspectors.

The workshop covers the following DOT specification cargo tanks:
MC 306, 307, 312
MC 406, 407, 412
MC 330, 331, 338

Qualifications of Registered Inspectors, Design Certifying Engineers as defined in 171.8
Testing/inspections as prescribed in 180.407
Parts 180.405, 409, 411, 413, 415, 416, 417 and Parts 173 and 178
Special test/inspection conditions
External visual inspections
Internal visual inspections
Pressure tests
Leakage tests
Thickness tests
Lining inspections
DOT Interpretations
Compliance dates/tank markings
Record keeping requirements
Cargo tank repair and retrofitting
Registration procedures for test/inspection facilities
Hands on Testing and Training Performed by the Inspectors

This Class meets all requirements per 49 CFR Hazardous Materials Regulations for qualified registered inspectors. Including Hazmat Initial and Refresher Training as defined in Parts 172.704 Training Requirements and General Familiarization/Awareness Training, Function Specific Training, Security Awareness Training.

Class Information

This class starts at 8:00am and ends at 5:00pm daily.

Attendees are required to attend all three days to receive training certificates.

Hands-on training conducted at off-site facility.

Students responsible for their own lunch.

Casual attire.

All students will receive Hazmat Regulation book, participant workbooks, handouts, tests, and certificates.
